Use of camera in filming

On thursday evening we began filming our scene for our prelim.task. We had a short amount of time to do as many of the various shots as possible. In that time we managed to film our establishing shot, and two medium close up shots. To make sure that each shot was successful, we were told to film each one three times. To show the shot and take it was, the cameraman would place his fingers in front of the camera to show first the shot number, and then the take number.
Though I really enjoyed some of the camera, there were some techniques I think that 0ur group should work on.
1. Begin to use the camera with a tracking shot, our group changed our two close ups from track to pan shots, and i dont feel that it was as effective.
2. Use of the tripod, and the level gauges to make sure that the camera is level if it needs to be.
3. Just general mistakes, like knowing that you cant take the film out of the camera without the battery in it, for example.

More evaluating information to follow when filming is next in progress
